Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT) gives you the tools to understand how to recognize warning signs, react quickly in an active shooter situation, and learn how to control bleeding in life-threatening situations. AVERT is active shooter response training with the addition of techniques on how to stop the bleed of victims.

Equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements.

Upon completion of this training, students will be effectively trained in de-escalation and safe restraint techniques.

During this class the following topics will be addressed: Nomenclature of the spray canister, How to hold the canister, Spray patterns, De-contamination techniques, Legal Considerations, How to carry the canister, and What to do after you have sprayed an individual.
